What will President Barack Obama’s legacy be?
After eight years in the White House, what has President Barack Obama really done for the United States?
When Barack Obama first ran for office in 2008, he promised the over 11 million undocumented immigrants in the nation that he would enact reforms to legalize their situation in the United States.
Little did they know Obama would deport more people than any other president.
Many of those who evaded deportation did not enjoy the “American Dream,” but rather faced precarious work conditions or endured the pain of family separation due to a loved one’s deportation.
The irony: Even though Obama was against the Iraq War from the beginning and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, he has bombed more countries than his predecessor George W. Bush — seven to four.
Obama begins his final year in power with an antagonistic Republican majority in Congress and adversarial presidential candidates snapping at his heels.
