#Vietnam and Cuba Boost Health Cooperation

Hanoi, Mar 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Deputy Health Minister, Marcia Cobas, has began today a visit to Vietnam, focused on promoting cooperation in this field.

Cobas met today morning with executives at the AMV Group, which has maintained ties with the biotechnology sector of the Caribbean island, sources close to the delegation she heads told Prensa Latina.

The Cuban visitors will hold talks with directors of the ‘Thu Cuc’ International General Hospital today afternoon.

Their agenda includes meetings with the sector’s authorities and representatives of other health institutions in this capital.

Business and Export manager at the Cuban Medical Services trading company, Juana Maria Larrea, and specialists from the National Center for Medical Genetics, the National Cardiology Group, and the Hematology and Oncology Institutes are accompanying the deputy minister.

These meetings, which will conclude on Thursday, March 16th, will allow participants to further widening collaboration in this area and expand bilateral cooperation, which covers several other branches, including agriculture, education and the tourism industry.
